If New Orleans whispers ghost stories through alleyway saxophones, LA shouts dreams into mirrors, then forgets them by morning. Geography is metaphor: one sinks, the other burns. Skin glistens in both, but for opposite reasons—humidity versus hedonism.
New Orleans is a waltz; LA, a montage. One clings to the past like moss to brick. The other reinvents its reflection hourly. Yet both, in their own ways, are tragedies looking for applause.
